WSA's CEOTM
Programme and its short form "Creativity That Works" is:
 |
based on recent research in the management and
cognitive sciences,
|
 |
developed for individuals and corporations, and
|
 |
structured to help both private and public
sector corporations enhance Total Factor Productivity, manage
change, and instill Creativity and Innovation.
|
Corporations are facing an increasing competitive and
rapidly changing environment. They are discovering that their
established systems and traditional approaches will not help their
enterprises attain or sustain success in the turbulent years
ahead. As one CEO puts it: It's not enough to run like cheetahs
anymore--one needs to soar like an eagle!
|

Whole Brain in Whole Systems
|
Intuitively, decision makers realize the need to
promote creativity and innovation in their corporations in order to
compete in the new global environment. But how?
It is easy to encourage and develop creativity and
innovation in a vacuum. Scores of programmes and books address
this issue with fairly good success. The real question is: how
do you create a climate for innovation without producing chaos or
disrupting what already works in the company. How does a company
balance productivity and creativity; innovation and organization;
flexibility and control? Specifically, how does it encourage
both individual initiative and collaborative community?
Unfortunately, it is not easy for companies to find an
intervention programme that presents an integrated and balanced
approach.
Whole Systems Asia's CEO Programme provides
scientifically-based integrated organizing principles for
understanding individuals, creativity, entrepreneurship, and
organizations; as well as tested tools ane techniques to enhance:
 |
individuals creativity and
teamwork/team-building,
|
 |
organizational productivity and innovations, and
|
 |
capacity to cope with growth and change.

"In...the confusion occasioned by overchoice, the
most powerful, useful 'super-product' of all is an organizing
principle for one's life."--A. Toffler, Future Shock
The CEOTM
Programme is based on the organizing principles of provided by three
powerful ideas:
|
1. |
The DAVInCi Model, from Sperry's Nobel Prize
research.
|
|
2. |
The universal Creative Process, from studies of
the creatively eminent.
|
|
3. |
Situational MetacognitionTM,
developed in Harvard University by the integration of
cross-field research. SM identified the optimal thinking
at each step of the creative and enterprise process, and each
stage in organizational growth. It enables an
understanding of one's strengths and weaknesses in creativity,
and one's profile as an entrepreneur, a manager or leader.
|
From these powerful principles and from the
experiences of successful organizations, a comprehensive range of
tools and skills have been derived, providing managers and
professionals with workable ways to enhance their personal and
professional effectiveness. E.G. they will learn how to:
 |
Develop both internal and external Helicopter
Vision
|
 |
Work with and Integrate complex and novel ideas
|
 |
Use Powerful Techniques for creativity and
productivity
|
 |
Apply simple tools for generating and processing
ideas
|
 |
Effect individual and organizational Paradigm
Shifts, and
|
 |
Form and Manage Creative Teams, and more...

Participants will compete a DAVInCI Situational
Metacognitive Instrument (SMI) survey and a pre-work questionnaire
before the workshop. These enable the instructors to know the
participant profiles and thus customize the workshop activities to
their specific needs and interests. Results are also fed back to
participants on the very first day of the workshop to facilitate self-understanding
and benchmarking.
Unique content features include:
 |
understanding of team creativity (as well as
individual creativity)

DAVInCI Situational Metacognitive Index (SMI)TM
Whole Systems Asia's DAVInCI SMI Survey provides a
personal profile indicating: thinking preferences among the six
DAVInCI modes, the modes that are excessively developed and those that
are deficient, the presence of creeping dominance, and the Situational
Metacognitive Index, which measures metacognition as well as how
situational is one's thinking. The profile may also be used to
identify creative potential and for forming and managing teams.
